Dr. Walter attended college at the University of Pittsburgh, and received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School. He was also a research associate in Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiac Catheterization at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital in New York. He completed a residency in neuromedicine through the Harvard Medical Service at Massachusetts General Hospital, and was a medical epidemioligist for the Center for Disease Control of the U.S. Public Health Service. He has been twice elected as Chief of the Cardiology Section at Covenant Medical Center, and has also been elected as the Chief of Staff at Covenant Lakeside. He also served as President/CEO of Cardiology Associates of Lubbock.
